Coach Josie McDonald

Josie McDonald is currently on the Saraland High School Varsity Soccer team, a player for Mobile United Club team, and is passionate about soccer and skills development.
​
When asked why she wanted to do this, her response fell right inline with the SSA vision --> "I want to help kids improve on their fundamentals like ball control, dribbling, passing and shooting. I can start from the basics or just help them improve where they’re at right now. I have played soccer for all of my life and have played for multiple club teams. My main goal is to help soccer grow in my community and for kids to love the sport as much as I do. "

Coach Brian Callan​
Coach Brian is a founding member of SSA. Brian grew up playing soccer through Satsuma's glory years with the soccer team making the playoffs for the first time in history along side Coach Zack H and Coach Josh W. Brian also played club soccer for Mobile United. Brian is a huge soccer advocate with many years of experience as a player and a youth coach.

When asked why he wanted to do this --> "These kids deserve quality development in a fun and rewarding system. There is nothing better than having a player or parent tell a coach they are the reason their kids play soccer." Be warned...these lessons can get high paced and intense.

Coach Zack Hicks​
Coach Zack Hicks is a current SSA Board member. Coach Zack played his entire youth through Satsuma High School years along side Coach Josh W and Coach Brian C. Zack brings many of years of player experience and is a current U14 coach for SSA.
When asked why he wanted to do this --> "I want the player to perfect and hone in on specific skills and concepts of the game specific to the player as he or she plays it."

Coach Annalee Parks​
Annalee is a referee with us at SSA and is also providing private lessons! Anallee currently plays at Saraland High School and has been a great addition to our program at SSA! Analee says "I am giving lessons to younger kids of any age because I want to help kids learn and perfect their skills. My goal is to help kids in general to love the sport and improve as a whole! "

Coach Joshua West​
Josh is the founder and "CEO" of Saraland Soccer Academy. Josh is a former player of the University of Mobile and has coached soccer for 10+ years at the youth level. Josh is great with kids of all ages, bringing fun, skill development, and creativity to his lessons.
